Zielinski: Packers will keep rolling against Broncos

Green Bay started off fast against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 2 to secure a 21-point lead within the first 16 minutes of the game. That margin didn’t hold up, however, as the Packers’ offense became conservative and failed to execute. They held on to defeat the Vikings 21-16.

The Packers have won their first two games – both against divisional opponents – to begin the season. Although the offense has been shaky, the defensive unit has been one of the best in the NFL through the first two weeks, allowing less than 10 points per game.

The Packers will try to continue their success against the Denver Broncos at noon Sunday at Lambeau Field.

The Broncos have lost their first two games of the season, including a disappointing loss to the Chicago Bears last Sunday. After scoring a touchdown and successful 2-point conversion to take a one-point lead with 31 seconds left, the Broncos allowed the Bears to go 40 yards in six plays to kick a game-winning 53-yard field goal.

On the road against a defense that’s been thriving, the Broncos have to control the time of possession. They have weapons on offense, including running back Phillip Lindsey and receiver Emmanuel Sanders, but quarterback Joe Flacco can’t make mistakes.

This game will be closer than most expect and likely will be low scoring with both teams having a talented defense. The Packers will start off 3-0 for the first time since 2015.
