Zielinski: Packers will keep rolling

By DAN ZIELINSKI

Micah Parsons’ debut for the Packers was nothing short of electric. He racked up three pressures, including a late sack that had Lambeau Field roaring, and his mere presence elevated the entire Green Bay defense.

Parsons has a remarkable history against the Commanders, totaling 10.5 career sacks, including 4.5 against quarterback Jayden Daniels last season. With rookie right tackle Josh Conerly Jr. likely in his sights, Parsons could make life very uncomfortable for Washington’s young offensive line.

The Commanders are far from one-dimensional. Jayden Daniels showed flashes of brilliance in Week 1, combining 233 passing yards with 68 rushing yards, while Deebo Samuel continues to be a matchup nightmare, tallying seven receptions and a 19-yard TD run. Green Bay’s defense must stay disciplined, using various schemes to contain Daniels’ mobility.

Offensively, Packers QB Jordan Love needs to keep the momentum from Week 1, connecting with key targets like Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed and Tucker Kraft, while leaning on Josh Jacobs to establish a consistent ground game. If the Packers can pressure Daniels and execute their own offense, Lambeau Field will likely see another home win.

WHAT THE ODDSMAKERS ARE SAYING:  Packers by 3.5 points.

DZ’s PREDICTION: Packers 27, Commanders 20
