This Could Be A Banner Day For Packers
Now that Aaron Rodgers is back in his A-game mode, maybe, just maybe, the Green Bay Packers will get back into the playoff picture.
Rodgers has been on fire the last two weeks, with a passer rating of 115 against the Redskins and 116.7 versus the Eagles. In those two games, Rodgers passed for five touchdowns and didn’t have one pass picked off.
Yet, there are two other reason why I like the Packers to make it two in a row today: 1) The Texans are pathetic road team, and 2) They’re in a funk.
As for the former, the Texans have dropped two straight, albeit to good teams San Diego (21-13) and Oakland (27-20) after barely beating a not-so-good team, Jacksonville, 24-21.
As for the latter, the Texans are a mere 1-4 on the road this season. Only five teams in the NFL have been worse away from home: the Browns (0-6), Bears (0-5), 49ers (0-5), Jaguars (1-5) and Eagles (1-5).
This has the makings of a major Packers victory.
Prediction: Packers 34, Texans 20.
