Zielinski: Packers will be in good hands with Willis
By DAN ZIELINSKI
The Green Bay Packers will try to snap a two-game losing streak and keep their NFC North hopes alive when they host the Baltimore Ravens in a Saturday night prime-time matchup at Lambeau Field in Week 17.
Green Bay has clinched a playoff spot but must win to remain in the division race. Baltimore also needs a victory to stay alive in the AFC North. The matchup is complicated by injuries at quarterback. Packers starter Jordan Love is out after entering concussion protocol, while Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is doubtful with a back contusion. Green Bay’s Malik Willis and Baltimore’s Tyler Huntley are expected to start.
Both teams are coming off damaging Week 16 losses after surrendering double-digit second-half leads. How each responds will be critical. With Love sidelined, the Packers are likely to lean on running back Josh Jacobs, who does not carry an injury designation despite a lingering knee issue.
Defensively, Green Bay will look to slow a Ravens run game averaging 5.2 yards per carry and led by Derrick Henry. The Packers may also need to force turnovers against a Baltimore offense that has lost an NFL-high 12 fumbles.
Green Bay’s home-field advantage will prove to be enough in a low-scoring game.
WHAT THE ODDSMAKES ARE SAYING: Packers ar3 3-point favorites.
DZ’S PREDICTION: Packers 20, Ravens 17
