Zielinski: Love, Packers will get back on track against Ram
By DAN ZIELINSKI
The Packers have had an unexpected start to the season, sitting at 2-2 and trailing the Vikings and Lions in the division standings. Their two wins came while quarterback Jordan Love was sidelined with an injury. However, in his return last week, Love struggled, throwing three interceptions in a narrow two-point loss to the undefeated Vikings.
As the Packers head on the road to face the 1-3 Los Angeles Rams, Love will look to shake off the rust and return to form. Sunday’s matchup presents an ideal opportunity for him to bounce back, as the Rams have had many injuries and rank last in opponent yards per play (6.4) while allowing the second-most points per game this season.
In addition to Love, running back Josh Jacobs could have a breakout performance against the Rams’ struggling defense, which has had trouble containing both the run and the pass.
On the other side, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, a Super Bowl champion, will rely on his experience and accuracy to guide his team.
This game presents a strong opportunity for the Packers to come out, execute their fundamentals and secure a convincing victory,
Prediction: Packers 31, Rams 20.
