Packers Will Bear Down Tonight

In light of the Green Bay Packers’ myriad of problems, one might tend to believe they’ll be in trouble against the Chicago Bears tonight.

Personally, I doubt it.

We are talking about the Bears here. They are about as bad as the Cubs are good. To wit:

— The Bears are 1-5. They only team that has a worse record is hapless Cleveland.

— The Bears’ sole victory was against Detroit and they barely won that game for the dark ages 17-13.

— The Bears are 0-3 on the road.

— The Bears’ defense is abysmal. In two games, they’ve given up 29 points. In another, they surrendered 31 points.

— The Bears QB is Brian Hoyer who, despite having strung together three-straight 300-yard passing games, is still Brian Hoyer.

— The Bears’ main rushing threat is the not-hall-of-fame in-waiting Jordan Howard.

Yes, the Packers are beat-up physically and they’re emotionally fragile right now. But they should be feeling much better after tonight’s game, thanks to the bumbling Bears.

Prediction: Packers 34, Bears 20
