Packers getting help from schedule-makers

At least the NFL schedule-makers are giving the Packers a chance to make the playoffs.

Last Sunday, the Packers, reeling without all-world Aaron Rodgers, played the inept Bears in Chicago and, despite being the underdogs, came away with a victory.

Today, the Packers, still without Rodgers, play the Baltimore Ravens at Lambeau Field in Green Bay. The Ravens aren’t as inept as the Bears, but they clearly have issues of their own.

The Ravens have lost three of their last four games, and one of them was to the aforementioned Bears. Yet, the odds-makers are still picking the Ravens to upend the Packers. Go figure.

The Packers will also be facing a quarterback — Joe Flacco — who is having a season from hell. Flacco, once a legitimate quality QB, has a pathetic 72.3 passer rating. He has thrown for eight touchdowns and had 10 passes picked off.

Perhaps it’ll be one of those days where Flacco magically returns to his old form and shreds the Packers’ secondary and leads the Ravens to victory. But don’t count on it.

Prediction: Packers 23, Ravens 17
