Lacy Could Play Giant Role For Packers Tonight

We’re going to find out a lot more about Eddie Lacy today.

We’re going to see if the Packers talented running back is back to his old self, punishing tacklers, making big plays, helping the Packers win.

Yes, when the Packers play the Giants from New York tonight in Lambeau Field, we’ll get a much better gauge of Mr. Lacy and how he’ll fit — or not fit –into the Packers attack the rest of the season.

After two lackluster games to start the season, Lacy flashed signs of his old productive self against the Detroit Lions when he carried the ball 17 times for 103 yards – or almost double the combined output of 111 yards in the first two games this season.

Of course, for Lacy to replicate that performance against the Giants won’t be easy. The Giants have a formidable run defense; they’ve yielded an average of 84 yards per game so far this season – ninth best in the NFL.

So, it’ll be interesting watching Lacy tonight – and infinitely more interesting than watching another putrid presidential debate – and see if he’s got his act together. My inclination is to say he does.

Prediction: Packers 27, Giants 20.
